Adrift - Steven Callahan
Adrift was a novel that fascinated me. I strongly recommend reading this book because of its detailed narrative and appealing plot. Steven Callahan wrote every detail with the most effective words, often leaving me to visualize the present idea. The fictional plot was of a man that became adrift at sea after a plane crash. He was lost at sea for 72 days, and with an inflatable dingy for shelter. I can guarantee that this plot will be engaging to almost anyone. Because Adrift was so adventurous, I rarely found myself lulling with boredom. It was entertaining the whole way through. Perhaps one of the best novels that I have ever read, I can only insist that one should read Adrift.
If I were to star an actor in Adrift, I would definitely choose Tom Hanks. I would choose him because of his protagonist performance in the film Castaway. This movie was about a man that was lost on a deserted island in the middle of the ocean, with no food or shelter. Tom Hanks made a great performance in this movie, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Since the novel is mainly based around the protagonist, one star actor would be proficient.
Overall, Adrift was a great read. I recommend this book to anyone interested in an adventurous genre!
